“I recorded this song after returning from an intensive week-long songwriting session focused on lyrics and vocals, so it was refreshing to drop into a purely instrumental space and record a slew of acoustic instruments. I always appreciate the 'imperfections' of real instruments and the character they impart.”

East Forest is a multidisciplinary artist, producer, and ceremony guide whose “lush” (Rolling Stone) and “blissful” (NPR) music has blended ambient, neoclassical, and avant-pop since 2008 to explore sound as a tool for inner journeys. He's a faculty member at the Esalen Institute and has collaborated with Ram Dass, Jon Hopkins, and Laraaji.

“We love the wooziness of this track... like the morning after a long night of ego deflation. It seemed fitting to have a title referencing the morning sun reflecting in dew drops resting on the tips of a thousand blades of grass.”

Hammock is Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson. Since founding the band in 2003, they've released a string of acclaimed albums tracing ambient, post-rock, neoclassical and shoegaze — scoring Kogonada's film Columbus and licensing music to Nike, Porsche, and Far Cry 5.
